Richard Forrest
I joined Hayes Connor in October 2019 and since July 2020 I have been part of the Management Team with Gareth, Dan and Bill, together with my fellow Legal Director Christine Sabino.
I have a large caseload of both individual data breach claims and larger group actions. This involves claims against a wide range of organisations such as police forces, local authorities, banks, and small/large scale businesses.
My role is not only to make sure our clients are compensated for the breach of their data and the distress this has caused but to ensure I assist them by offering reassuring advice and practical support.
I provide daily assistance to our team of Fee Earners on their individual caseloads, ensuring they maximise their potential and offer the best service possible to our clients.
I also play an active role in the marketing side of the business.
Career
I studied Economics and Social Policy at the University of Sheffield before undertaking my Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course and converting to Law.
Upon finishing my studies, I obtained a legal training contract at Farleys Solicitors, a law firm in my then local town.
Upon qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2011 I moved to Forster Dean Limited, the firm that our Directors run alongside Hayes Connor.
Throughout my time at Forster Dean I was an office manager running a mixed caseload of personal injury claims.
Personal Interests
Outside of work my family takes up most of my time. I am married with a young daughter who makes me laugh on a daily basis.
I have always held a keen interest in sport and get out running three times a week. I still play five a side football but I think my days are numbered.
I love eating out and socialising with family and friends.
