Ben Brown
I started working at Hayes Connor when we were founded in June 2018.
During my time with the firm, I have worked on many large group action and multi-claimant data breach claims and I now principally work hard to achieve compensation for my clients who have suffered from a serious breach of privacy. I am also the firm’s Deputy Data Protection Officer.
Data breach is fast paced and a very exciting area of law. I am committed to delivering the best possible service to each of my clients. I take pride in ensuring that I have a sound knowledge of the emerging case law and the developing approach of the courts to data breach and privacy claims.
I support our clients at every stage of pursuing a data breach claim, answering their questions and providing clear, sensitive support at what can be a very tough time for them.
I work closely with the senior management team to create and implement the file management and client care processes which are fundamental to the way we work at Hayes Connor, and I draw from this to train new staff within our firm on this new and evolving area of law.
The most enjoyable part of my job has always been settling a claim. It is very rewarding to know that I have helped someone at what can be a devastating time.
My most memorable day at Hayes Connor has to be the day I settled my first data breach claim as I was able to achieve an excellent result for my client and they gave me some remarkable feedback.
Career
I am studying to qualify as a Chartered CILEX Lawyer to further my career and I am currently a Graduate Member of CILEX (GCILEX).
I have also been trained to create and update the Proclaim case management system and processes. I achieved the Eclipse Technical Level 2 certificate in December 2020.
Personal Interests
When I am not in the office, I enjoy keeping active and running.
I also regularly meet up with friends to visit new restaurants and attend live music events.
